Goat farming for women’s empowerment
Economic Empowerment · Kiroka

Goat Farming for Women’s Empowerment

The project focused on empowering vulnerable women in Kiroka, including early married mothers, young mothers, widows, and divorced women, by equipping them with practical skills and sustainable livelihood opportunities. Through hands-on training in animal husbandry, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy, the projectb strengthened their capacity to manage resources and generate income independently. Each woman received goats as a foundation for long-term sustainability, ensuring that the support extended beyond training to tangible economic assets.

One Tree at a Time: Restoring Green Spaces

We believe that caring for people goes hand in hand with caring for the planet they rely on. Our environmental initiative is rooted in the commitment to restore and protect green spaces for present and future generations. As part of our ongoing efforts, in partnership with local schools, youth and community groups, we have planted more than 1,000 trees across Morogoro, marking a meaningful step toward environmental renewal. Each tree symbolizes hope for cleaner air, healthier soil, safer water sources, and a more resilient planet that will continue to sustain communities for generations to come.

Their_Wellbeing: Safe Schools for Every Child

Most children spend a significant portion of their lives in and around school environments, making schools one of the most influential spaces for shaping their safety, development, and overall wellbeing. Yet, despite their central role, many girls and boys continue to face various forms of violence both within and outside school grounds. School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV) encompasses a range of harmful behaviours including sexual harassment, physical assault, emotional abuse, and threats that undermine children’s rights, dignity, and ability to learn. Recognizing the urgency of this issue, our organization is implementing a dedicated project to raise awareness in schools across Morogoro, equipping learners, teachers, and communities with knowledge and preventive strategies to address and ultimately end SRGBV.
